About Me
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over twenty years of experience. I have a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. From 2007 to 2019 I served as a clinical supervisor for the Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills. The Maple Counseling Center offer affordable therapy to the local community and serve as training grounds for aspiring clinicians.
I approach therapy from a psychodynamic and relational perspective. I have a certificate in Adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the New Center for Psychoanalysis (NCP). I believe that people evolve from an understanding of their internal world. Our experiences do influence our being in a very profound manner; in relationships as well as our own attitudes of ourselves.
I have a certificate in Trauma Studies program Psychodynamic Perspectives Theory and Treatment from the Los Angeles Institute And Society For Psychoanalytic Studies.
In addition to these principles, l also utilize mindfulness based approaches as well as cognitive and behavioral methods. l believe the most important aspect of therapy is our therapeutic alliance.
My Therapeutic approach is to provide support, insight, and goals to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complimentary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain their own personal growth.
I'm also a Clinical Member of The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process. Together we can explore issues which are hindering you from living a fully engaged and meaningful life.
